Performance Testing & Mechanical Run Evaluation of Industrial SA Fan
A detailed Performance Test and Mechanical Run Test was recently conducted on an industrial SA Fan as part of rotating equipment quality assurance and compliance verification. The inspection was carried out strictly as per approved QAP / ITP, relevant engineering specifications, and applicable industry practices.
🔹 Objective of Inspection
The primary objective of this inspection was to:
Validate aerodynamic performance of the fan
Confirm mechanical integrity under operating conditions

🔬 Key Inspection Activities
1️⃣ Fabrication & Dimensional Verification
✔ Fan Casing, Impeller, Shaft, Pedestal & Weldments visually examined
✔ Dimensional accuracy verified against approved drawings
✔ DP test reviewed for critical welded joints
✔ Impeller dynamic balancing results reviewed to confirm vibration stability
2️⃣ Instrumentation & Test Arrangement Verification
Prior to testing, following were verified:
Calibrated measuring instruments and certificates
Accurate placement of pressure, flow, current, and RPM measuring devices
Proper alignment and secure mounting of the fan
Adequate safety controls and test readiness
3️⃣ Mechanical Run Test
Mechanical Run Test was conducted to evaluate:
Bearing temperature behavior
Vibration amplitude & stability
Noise & operational smoothness
Mechanical integrity of assembled equipment

Motor Current & Voltage
